Description

Offered here is this marvelous 1971 Fender Telecaster, serial number 343107. While a half century old, this beauty is a great playing and collectible classic.

This lovely Tele has a neck date of October, 1971 and the pots date to the 43rd week of 1965 (137-6543). It has an Ash body with a well-yellowed Blonde "see-through" finish. The Maple neck has a medium/large 'C' shape with depth measurements of .870" at the first fret increasing to .950" at the twelfth fret. It weighs 8 pounds, 7 ounces and is nicely balanced. It has newer medium frets and a newer bone nut. The electronics appear all original except that the neck pickup has been rewound. One of the string ferrules has also been replaced. In all other respects this guitar appears to be in original condition.

This Telecaster was professionally-owned and maintained and served its owner well for many years. It plays great and sounds fantastic with a nice crisp Tele tone. Please check out the brief sound sample included below. It is in very good condition with a nicely yellowed original finish with a few chips and wear in the typical areas of the body and neck. The newer frets remain in very good condition with tons of life left in them. In comes in its original and well-worn black G&G tolex case with the orange interior (and no nasty smoke odor).

Telecasters never go out of style. Clean early 70's examples like this one are reaching their 50th birthdays and are rapidly escalating in value. Make this great playing and great sounding Tele classic yours today.
