  • Description: Telecasters are becoming even more desirable as time goes on. This 1972 Blonde was made on March 3rd 1972, as indicated on the inside of the neck. The neck plate has been replaced with a blank plate, hence there are no serial numbers (WHAT where they thinking?! The previous owner bought it that way about 15 years ago). This guitar is mostly original, but there have been some changes. The guitar as had a pro refret, and the finger board has been refinished, the headstock logo has been change to a 50's style spaghetti type. The neck pickup has been replaced with a Duncan STR-1, the original needs to be rewound and is included. The bridge pickup is original as are the pots. The bridge has been upgraded to a 6-way unit and that's the extent of the changes. The guitar has a lot of "character & beauty marks" or of you like the term "Patina". This is not a pampered or babied example, the various chips and nicks etc. tell a proud story of creating much music. The original case is missing 2 latches. This Tele® plays really smoothly, and sounds just right.
