Introduced in 1972 this version of the Telecaster Custom featured fenders newest pickup, the Seth Lover designed "Widerange" Humbucker in the neck position. The combination of a traditional Tele bridge pickup with a humbucking neck pickup allowed for a versatile array of sounds and this model soon became a permanent part of Keith Richard's arsenal with the Rolling Stones.
This fully original 1974 example features a natural finish over an ash body with an intricate grain pattern, maple neck, and black pickguard. Much lighter weight than many 70s Teles, this guitar is acoustically very resonant and both pickups are strong when plugged in. It includes the original Fender hardshell case.
