  • Description: This is a 90's Michael Stevens Masterbuilt Telecaster® Custom, which is one of a kind and was built for Robben Ford to his specifications. I have spoken with Michael Stevens concerning this guitar and he states that it is 1 of less than 40 that he Masterbuilt while at Fender®, and that the body shape is completely unique and built completely to Robben Ford's Specifications. He also stated that he built and finished every inch of this guitar. Truly a one of a kind and unique Tele®.This guitar could be one of the rarest Telecaster®'s ever made, it is serial #67 which means it is the 67th custom shop guitar ordered, not the 67th produced, as Michael Stevens told me that serial numbers were assigned based on order numbers rather than the order in which they were produced. This guitar was custom ordered by Robben Ford with a different shaped body than an average Tele® (larger lower body curves) and a shorter scale of 24 3/4 (like a gibson les paul) rather than 25 1/2 like a standard Tele®. This guitar is completely one of a kind, Mike Stevens confirmed that this is THE ONLY Tele® like this that he ever built. This guitar is featured on page 34 of "The Telecaster® Book" by A. R.
