  • Description: 1957 Telecaster® Esquire. Original neck, refin body. This guitar was originally an Esquire but converted to Tele® sometime in the past. Larger tuner holes are bushed back to stock 1/4" Fender® specs on the back of the neck under the tuners in order to keep the head stock strong and free of cracks. Guitar features original bridge pickup, original bridge, original pots (304 704), original control plate, original knobs, original jack and jack cup, original strap buttons, original neck plate and screws 023XXX), original body (10/57, refinished), original neck with original finish and decal. The neck measures .887" at the first fret and .978" at the 12th fret. The frets are original and worn, but the guitar plays fine. The fingerboard has some significant wear and divots most prominent on the first seven frets. The edges of the body are somewhat rounded in a few places, most prominently where the arm rests. It is slight and not noticeable on casual inspection. The back of the guitar seems to have the typical sharper corners. This is a killer guitar with the look, feel, and sound that makes 50's Tele®'s so prized. '57 was certainly one of the best years ever at Fender®. The guitar weighs 6 lbs. 13 oz. The guitar ships in a brand new, plush red lined, C &G Fender® branded tweed case. Please click on blue tab above, "Photo Set" to see high resolution images.
