  • Description: While the Telecaster® has remained more or less simple and unchanged since 1950, the late 60s and early 70s brought some variation to the classic model. The semi-hollow thinline model, first seen in '69 with single coil pickups, had been updated to a set of humbuckers in '72 to appease the growing demand for sonically heavier music. Physically, it's lightweight body makes this guitar great for hours of play with no sacrifice of tone. Now more than ever we look for unique sounds from guitars, and this oft overlooked model is a great example of something new to explore. Here is a very clean '77 version in original black finish.
