1966 TELECSTER White / Rose
This 1966 Telecaster features the transition logo, thicker headstock, 2-line cruson pegs, and pearloid dot position marks with narrower spacing between the 12th fret position marks. Furthermore, this particular model is a rare example of a transitional model, with the transition logo being the first period and the preset tone being the last period.
The rosewood fingerboard and maple neck are joined by a round board that is affixed along the fingerboard's curvature, and the overall sound is characterized by a cohesive sound with little variation. Controls are controls with preset tones, the last period around this time, and there are no mixed sounds. The rosewood fretboard and alder body are matched with the royal road, and the vintage Telecaster sound has warmth and thickness in the midrange, as well as a Telecaster-like loose feel, with a rich overtone structure. The weather checks that have appeared over the years give it an impressive appearance as well as sound.
