Description

Now available on consignment, a 1981 Fender the 'Strat' in an unusual factory black over Lake Placid Blue finish.

This model was Fender's attempt at a deluxe version of the Fender Stratocaster at the time. Featuring gold plated brass hardware, a 4 bolt neck, a smaller headstock, and the first generation of S1 switching to offer a broader variety of options between the 3 pickups.

This particular example is quite rare due to its factory black finish, with the blue underneath hinting this guitar was either ordered in black, or was finished over due to an imperfection.

The original frets show almost no play wear at all, and the body/neck have a few minor dings. Otherwise the guitar presents in excellent condition as shown in the photos.

Includes its original paperwork, hangtags, tremolo arm, and equally clean early 80s reissue tweed case.
