  • Description: I-10073 -- REDUCED PRICE -- **** SUPER-RARE CLOSET / UNDER-THE-BED FIND!! **** AUTHENTICITY IS ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED!!! Finds like these are becoming increasingly rare -- this might be the last one you'll ever see!! Available for your consideration is this original and vintage '63 L-Series Strat®. This is a one-owner instrument that was played just a few times over the course of the few years that passed after it was purchased in 1963. The owner informed me that it has sat in his smoke/pet-free home closet in its gig bag for at least the past 37 years! WOW!!! Some of the cosmetic wear/damage that can be seen on the guitar is due to natural aging of the guitar, its parts, and from simply sitting inside the gig bag itself all these years. The majority of the more obvious/moderate wear is the result of the tremolo bar that was floating around at the bottom of the gig bag which gave the body some scratches and scuffs and a few of the dings that it has. The guitar weighs approximately 7.2 lbs. -- its frets are like new and the hardware is in exquisite condition. The original plasti-leather gig bag that was purchased with the guitar in '63 will be included as will the original tremolo bar and strap. Please note that the gig bag's zipper no longer functions properly and that it will need some repairs to be brought back to good health. See pictures -- many available!! SINCE THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN, THE TOP OF THE BODY HAS ACQUIRED ONE EXTRA SMALL SCRATCH JUST UNDER THE BOTTOM TONE KNOB. Though I am able to ship this instrument, I would prefer a local sale so that there's no chance of anything going awry before it finds its new home. Again, a Strat® from this era that hasn't been beaten to death through years of live play is an INCREDIBLE FIND!!! This is a true collector's piece.
