  • Description: Here is an untouched time-capsule rare blond 1967 Fender® Telecaster® with the so-called "smuggler rout" in the body under the pickguard as shown in the incredible pictures of this pristine beauty. Looks like it was sealed in a climate controlled vault. Original near perfect small hardshell silver logo case with orange lining shows that she rode safely all these years and never saw much of the light of day outside of some very light spots on the leather ends of the case where the black rubbed off. There are a few other smugglers out there right now and this one would be the Mint one for the discerning collector who wants the nicest one because there simply couldn't be one better, it's that minty fresh! The extraordinary instrument authenticates perfectly with the proper attributes, electronics, stampings, and numeration throughout. Ashtray cover present as well as the original instruction booklet case candy - it's all here. Our Colorado consignor purchased this from the original owner who, as the story goes, didn't even know how to open the case latches on the thing.
