  • Description: UGB35378 The G-200 was the second model produced by G&L. Officially released in January of 1982, the G-200 was most certainly aimed at the Gibson playing market. Most notably it is the only G&L model to have a 24 3/4" scale length. The body is mahogany and the maple neck sports an ebony fingerboard with peral dot inlay. Although the guitar appears to have the same pickups as the F-100, the circuitry is quite different. The 3-way toggle is located on the upper bout and the "cloud" control plate is certainly an "LP" kind of layout. Of course the large MFD humbuckers are hot as 4#!! and there's a mini-toggle switch that allows for coil tap and series/parallel options for both pickups. Although the G&L G-200 was a relatively short-lived model, many believe they are among the best sound guitars made with the MFD humbuckers. With hard case.
