Description: This vintage 1973 Gibson EB-3 is awesome. A model introduced in 1961, this bass is all original and sounds fantastic. Loaded with a large 'Mudbucker' humbucking pickup in the neck, it has a Varitone switch that allows you to choose between four very different tones. From focused and distinct, to open and rich, to an extremely choked neck pickup sound, this bass is versatile. In Very Good condition, it has some playwear including minor buckle rash, a few dings, and some wear on the neck finish (see photos). There is also a slight finish separation on the neck where it meets the body (see photo), but it is only aesthetic, not a crack. Serial # 176078, headstock stamped '2' (see photo). Its bridge cover has been removed. Here in cherry, this 1973 Gibson EB-3 is a great vintage bass ready to play. Comes with its original case. $1,600. Consignment item. Sorry, shipping not included.
