Description

This is a nice clean example of this original wide body mandolin and it plays and sounds great. It has the original sunburst finish with a nicely figured maple back and sides and a mahogany neck with a spruce top. It features a rosewood fingerboard with Lucas style inlays and the "thick" pearl peg head Gibson logo and fleur-de-lys, it also has the original tailpiece cover. The the original pick guard shows some deterioration but is still functional and there's a bit of wear on the back of the neck too. The tuning gears have been replaced with a new high quality set and the instrument has been re-fretted as well. It comes with a newer non-original hard shell case. We're selling this one 'as described' so please feel free to contact us here at the shop for a detailed hands on description.
