Like the rest of us young Beatle maniacs, he had every intention of becoming the next Paul McCartney with the girls swooning at his feet and superstardom soon to follow. Sadly, an extremely short period of playing was followed by the guitar gathering dust in his lonely closet - a sad story indeed! But, to his enormous credit, he did have the presence of mind to LOOSEN THE STRINGS and keep the instrument safe from light and humidity extremes over the long years. 46 years later, the results aren't so sad after all - this baby is in simply fantastical shape with only one barely visible small finish dink on the top down by the endpin. Otherwise, there is some very light and age appropriate finish checking but otherwise the guitar is dead mint. No fret or board wear, no finish issues, no top distortion, no repairs or breaks, no fading, and no excuses whatsoever! And a few strums later and you can see why these small bodied mahogany beauties are so darn beloved by fans of Orville's Kalamazoo creation - this baby just sings with a super resonant, pianistic, surprisingly loud, and ringing voice all her own.
