Description

1967 B-25 / Gibson

Gibson's representative model of small body "B-25".
The first smallbody guitar was the L-1, which was introduced in 1902, 120 years ago.
In 1932, the L-00, the prototype of the B-25, was introduced, and in 1942, the L-00 was replaced by the LG-2 (sunburst) and LG-3 (natural).
In 1962, LG-2 was renamed B-25, and in 1963, LG-3 was renamed B-25 Natural.
The difference in model names seems to have been classified by the presence or absence of coloring and the grade of wood.
This characteristic is similar to the relationship between the J-45 and the J-50, which means that the natural top spruce was more costly because it was knot-free.

This particular model has been over-lacquered all over, but the wide-grained spruce has a nice checkered appearance, and the thick large pickguard of this age is still in place, so you can enjoy the beauty of the shape and the vintage look at the same time.
The soundhole area is very cool as well.

The bridge has been changed to a slot saddle, and the potential of the Gibdon small body/X-bracing can be felt.
The low-mid, slightly boxy sound, similar to a J-45/J-50, is an attractive sound that no other acoustic guitar can replace.
