Evolved from BB's ES-355 the Lucille has all the 355 goodness without those 355 features that are unnecessary and/or annoying.
Like most Gibson Brands thinline guitars, the body consists of plain laminated maple top, back, and rims with a center block from the neck to tail to eliminate feedback.
Like the ES-355 it's adorned with multi-ply binding on both the top and back. The neck is a three-piece maple neck with Gibson’s traditional rounded profile, a scale length of 24¾-inches, and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard that is outlined with single-ply binding and adorned with genuine pearl block inlays. Other standard appointments include all gold hardware, metal tulip tuners, a Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge and, as is customary with the ES-355 there are two volume, two tone knobs, a three-way selector switch, Vari-tone switch, and both stereo and mono jacks.
Unique to the BB is the TP-6 tailpiece (for fine tuning each string), a mono as well as a stereo output jack, a panel in the back to allow easy access to the internal workings and no "f" holes giving a sleek look to the top.
This B.B. King Lucille (made to exactly the same specifications as the guitar played by King himself) is virtually unplayed, and comes with the standard Gibson Memphis case and certificate of authenticity.
