The original Gibson "Non-reverse" Firebirds were produced from 1966-1969 and was less radical than earlier Firebird models. This custom shop creation features a 24½" scale, solid mahogany, 1 piece mahogany neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Gold hardware, an ABR-1 fixed bridge and stop tailpiece.
With 3 mini-humbuckers this model has electronics similar in style to the Firebird VII (originally introduced in 1963). If you've never played 3 minis you're missing out. A clearer, brighter tone than full-sized humbuckers but with more depth than single coils.
