  • Description: It doesn't get much better than this! This stunning custom L-5e has what has to be the most heavily quilted set of maple we've ever seen. It would have been a shame to cover such beauty with the sunburst so often seen on L-5 so Gibson applied only the lightest vintage toner to this "citation" grade piece of wood. The hand carved top is of select spruce, with tight even grain and a good bit of "silking". The five piece neck is flamed beyond belief. But enough about the wood. This thing sounds incredible! Although is equipped with a gold-plated "Johnny Smith" style pickup, a guitar like this remind us that the best L-5s were acoustic instruments. Mint condition, with OHSC. Call for more information!
