  • Description: If this guitar doesn't get your heart pumping, please see a doctor soon.... This is a figured 2010 LPR8 with gloss (not the cheaper VOS) finish - the color is simply called "Sunburst" (I would call the finish a combination of Gibson's "Ice Tea" and its "Sweet Tea" burst finishes). This guitar weighs just 8.4 lbs. and is NOT CHAMBERED. Its condition can only be described as near immaculate - little to no evidence of play - if you hold it up to the light you may finds a few clearcoat scuffs and a pen tip sized impression or two on the back of the guitar. The neck carve is full, but not like some of the more massive profiles you sometimes find on LPR8's, measuring .94" at the first fret and increasing to 1.0" at the 12th. It sounds and plays as good as it looks. We are talking "fat" LP tone here folks... To top it off, this gorgeous instrument has had over $400 in sweet upgrades professionally installed by the folks at Schroeder Audio (Chicago): 1) a TonePros ABR1 replacement Tune-O-Matic bridge; 2) a TonePros aluminum tailpiece; 3) Tonepros/Kluson Keystone tuners/bushings; and 4) a bleached bone nut! These upgrades are all documented and all the original parts are included. Also included of course are the original Gibson Custom case, paperwork and certificate of authenticity. The street price for this guitar new (and this LP could almost pass for new) and with these upgrades would be somewhere north of $5K. If you've been itching for an LPR flametop, get this (arguably) better than new beauty for substantially less. This guitar is as nice or better than many of the pricier R9's I've had in stock.
