About the wildest, differentest, and by far the most coolest Custom Gibson early Gibson acoustic-electric we've ever seen. You can take your pick of when it was made; it's got solidly identifiable features of both the 50s and 60s, all day. A factory order number inside that's squarely in 1958 ("T" series), but with solidly 1960s finish, neck, and more. Typical red/yellow 60s sunburst, absolute 1963 or so neck shape, frets, and bridge with ceramic saddle; the neck has 14 frets clear of the body instead of the usual 15 on a J-160E, but it has J-160E pickup and controls; J-45 top bindings but CW/SJ fingerboard inlays and binding and pickguards. Label inside says SJ but with no serial number, and no number on the back of the peghead. And perhaps the wildest thing of all, the output jack, instead of being in the usual place between the top and the back, is about an inch or so below the top, kinda cool we think. Says "Custom" on the truss rod cover and you can believe that for sure. It of course sounds fab,big and loud and just like the Beatles and everyone else who used these back in the day, plays just great too. Beats the heck out of us how it came to be but it's definitely all original and all Gibson. $6995 w/hsc
