Gibson ES-175D Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1968), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 947646, sunburst lacquer finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case. Overall length is 40 7/8 in. (103.8 cm.), 16 1/16 in. (40.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). A superbly well preserved guitar overall; all original and unaltered with very little wear. There are a few chips to the headstock, a little finish flake on the bass side of the fingerboard extension and a bit of overall handling wear; the "Gibson" logo on the pickguard (seen only this particular year) is well faded. Overall a splendid example of Gibson's "bread and butter" jazz box from the 1960's, complete with the black/yellow lined OHSC. Excellent + Condition.
