Description

59 ES-335's have become very difficult to source. And it's no wonder...every serious collector wants a 59 in their collection. Until recently, I could find at least a dozen a year in collector grade condition. Since Covid, they have become impossibly rare. I might see three or four a year now. When I get one, they don't last long. There are simply more buyers than there are guitars. 58's and 60's are great but everybody wants that 59. Here it is almost May and this is only the second 59 I've seen this year. And it's a beauty. Condition is 9+ and it's all original. It's a late 59 so the neck profile is medium rather than huge. .84" at the first fret and .94" at the 12th. The pickups are bridge (double white) 8.15K and neck (double black) is 8.34K. Never had other tuners but the tips have been replaced. It had a "floating" Bigsby at some point so there are holes at the endpin only-none in the top. Those holes knock $8000 off the asking price. The last no issue 59 I sold went for $85,000. Original brown with pink Stone case in excellent condition.
