1979 Gibson ES-335TD featuring a strong maple neck with a solid core sound

The ES-335, introduced in 1958, is synonymous with semi-acoustic guitars and has been played by many great players and produced many great performances. This creates a vibrating system that is similar to that of a solid guitar, while still having an acoustic feel, and produces a tone with rich sustain. This 1979 ES-335TD model has a strong maple neck that produces a more solid sound than a mahogany neck. The neck grip is grippy and tapered. The high end of the range is also firm, so even when distorted, the sound is not buried, and a pleasant distortion can be obtained. Vintage ES-335 with large head and other distinctive features.

The actual playing impression is that there is a sense of edge, but it is not too hard, and "it is nice when distorted lightly". I imagined a narrow neck from the 70's, but it has a grippy feel, with a thicker grip on the side of the neck, and I feel it is a little thick for me to hold it. The taper is strong, so low-position chord work may not be to everyone's liking, but even those who say "I don't like maple necks," the neck actually sounds great when played, and I feel this is an individual that can be used without much discomfort. The standard stop rail piece and one toggle knob make it easy to use.
