  • Description: Up for sale is one used 1972 Gibson Limited Edition Reverse Firebird V Medallion in very good condition and perfect playing order. This extremely rare vintage electric guitar is #259 out of 366 made. It's all-Mahogany with a neck-thru body, bound neck with Rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays, banjo tuners and Maestro Vibrola tremolo. The mini-humbuckers are incredible. Everything on this guitar is original except for the strap buttons, the brass nut and the pickguard. There is a white one that also comes with it. It may be the original, but we can't be certain. The nut width is 1 5/8" and the guitar weighs 8 lbs 11 oz. The guitar plays and sounds incredible. With a slim-feeling C neck profile and the mini-humbuckers, this thing rocks. The jumbo frets add to its slinkiness. They've got some use in them, but there's a whole lot left for its new owner. The headstock was broken when we got it and was re-glued and touched up by a professional. It's ready for a whole new era of playing. This great guitar comes with the original hardshell case and a leather strap with straplocks. Because of the headstock issue, we have discounted the guitar $2000, as it books for $7000. A rare Bird indeed!
