  • Description: This is one fantastic guitar. A Gibson R8 Les Paul(1958 Reissue) from their custom shop. Finish aged by none other than Tom Murphy. This one has a few really nice upgrades and characteristics. It is a really pretty burst with a very authetic mild flame. Upgraded to Sheptone A/B pickups, this R8 gets a big bump in bite, sustain and just plain better tone. This sounds like a Les Paul is supposed to. This one also has the Uncle Lou tuners, smooth and vintage looking. The Relic® treatment is not overdone on this guitar either, nice checking and just the right amount of aging to the hardware. I actually find the mild relic treatment makes this guitar easier to play right off the bat due to the slight easing of the edge of the neck, for example. All the paperwork is here, original hardshell case and candy. You will not be disappointed with this instrument
