SN: EG -7236. * ON HOLD * Rare blond '39 J-35 in fine condition and one of the best I’ve heard and played. Only 3,000 were made between 1936 and 1942 and few have survived in this kind of condition. This is the first year for the blond top and clear finish sides as well as the two non-scalloped tone bars, which produced a more dynamic bass and treble than its predecessor. Original Klusons have the very cool amber buttons in excellent shape. Sexy firestripe pickguard. Two tight hairlines on the back and two more on the side with minor touch-up, otherwise, the finish is 100% original. Bridge plate and braces are all original. Neck set and perfect replica bridge from the repair shop of TJ Thompson. Exceptional playing and sounding instrument with woody midrange, controlled bass and treble, and great volume and clarity. This is also the first year for the D-shaped neck. Comes with a newer tweed TLK case in excellent condition.
