1958 Gibson J-50 Natural

Your dream 1950s Gibson, come true, and at a terrific price. A hunnert percent tight and right in all respects, as gone over thoroughly right here in our own shop. Smooth crisp action, great feel, frets excellent, and it has that wonderful patina that only a Gibson from the 1950s can have. It came to me from an estate and had been in storage for years, during which time an internal humidifier of some sort leaked a substance that led to a black stain, which seeped through to a portion of the back and is visible back there. This has no effect whatever on structural integrity or sound. The good news is that it ain't on the money side and can't be seen from the front. More good news is that the bridge has been changed from its original precarious adjustable one to a solid, rosewood Gibson-made one with solid saddle, and some unknown party did a perfect job of it. Even better news, no cracks, anywhere. But the really real deal with this 1958 Gibson J-50 is that it has that oh-so-unique 1950s Gibson tone, and tons of it.
