1928 Gibson L-0 Excellent, Original Soft, $5,995.00

How wonderfully cool is this late-1920s Gibson L-0??? Better model with the additional back binding of course, but that’s not even the beginning. With its mahogany top, it's all over the original Delta blues thing but with its decals, oh, those decals! Been there since forever and I’ve never seen anything quite like them: a Spanish galleon; a parrot; a Scotch Terrier; and little flowers on the peghead! All protected by a wee bit of home-applied varnish of course, probably eighty years ago or more, various repaired indiscretions in a few places equally dealt with. Now the guitar itself, totally solid and plays like home, sounds like every one-way ticket from the deep South to the urban North that ever was.
