thin I am told, by my luthier, the result of over-sanding the top in refinishing. The top sinks in a bit between the bottom of the sound hole and the bridge and the top has a small belly just below the bridge, but it all has stabilized over the last 5 years. My luthier recommended a Bridge Dr. apparatus to keep the top from caving in but it hasn’t happened.
No pickguard, near professional quality refinished top, neck and sides ( a long while ago), but left original on back body. Back of the neck looks too good to be new but it may have been reshaped to a beautifully perfect C-shape since the soft v-shape was more period.
13 frets clear of body makes this 1932. It has a working truss rod (1 3/4" nut) neck.
Strung with silk and steel strings by Martin, it sounds sweet but was always strung with 12 lights before.
We adjusted many frets and reglued the loose braces, but except for an almost 2 inch tight vertical crack on top a half inch from top left edge right at the indent between the upper and lower bouts the guitar is crack free. Super light and loud, slightly less wider than most other L-00s-14 3/4"x4 3/16" at the lower bout, perhaps like the one in recent VG article.
