Very Alive Responsive Rich Tone
The Gibson L-00 has become a much loved iconic model, and these earlier ones are, due to their lighter construction, especially greaty sounding. Neck shapes are better; those familiar with these know that Gibson's neck shapes got increasingly bigger in the following years. This one is in wonderful condition, entirely original (for those that care about originality - I don't) with its "firestripe" pickguard, lacquered bridge and beautifully clean bracing. There are no cracks and just one area of deep pickwear north of the soundhole - someone had a singularly specific method of strumming this guitar! It has had some great setup work done and thus it has excellent action. The tone is very responsive and rich, with plenty of volume and clarity - quite remarkable.
