1937 Gibson L-00 Sunburst, Excellent, Hard, $5,995.00

With the strength of Thor and the cool of Aphrodite, this 1937 Gibson L-00 will steal your heart. It came to us from the family of its original owner down South, where we are told it had been in a barn for decades. Sure didn’t hurt it none though; it only ever got one small, thin top crack, almost impossible to find, and one little one on its back, and that’s it. Totally 100% tight and solid, thoroughly gone over in our shop, never needed a neck reset and plays as great as it sounds. Not too often we come across examples as un-messed with as this one, and especially not as fabulous an absolutely terrific pre-war Gibson. Usual amount of modest playing wear from overt enthusiasm and all there, including beautifully functioning pre-war tuners, appear to be a wee bit mis-matched.
