Cool Looking! “Patented July 19 1910” Stamped on tailpiece. Headstock logo; “The Gibson” written at an angle in script. This Guitar: The top is definitely an old overspray, a little original finish checking seen, the back, sides and back of neck are refinished. One crack lower side 3” long, center of side at the small of the waist. This is a straight, tight crack, professionally glued, cleated, and secure. Replaced tuners.. The neck is straight and is a Huge “V”. Low easy action up the neck. K&K passive pickup. The label inside is intact and legible. This is a very playable instrument. Has somewhat of that Gibson Archtop tonality. I hate to pigeonhole any guitar but isn’t this a great guitar for Blues, Roots, Americano, Country, or even Bluegrass. (Alt.?) The early Gibson L-1 Acoustic Archtop Model holds a significant place in the history and evolution of Gibson and all guitars. The next generation of L-1 in 1926 was a flat top guitar as made famous by Robert Johnson. Non Original Hardshell Case.
