Description

Bay Area Vintage Guitars is proud to offer this wonderful all-original 1969 Les Paul Standard Goltop in very good condition with an excellent original untouched Goldtop finish. She is a fantastic player with a straight neck, original frets, and low action with exceptional sustain and growl at high volume.

The body displays beautiful lacquer checking throughout the body and neck, with a few light scuffs and dings, mainly to the edges of the body, but nothing major. There is no heavy buckle rash as typical with these guitars, and there is only light playwear on the back of the neck and some minor dings and scuffs around the headstock. Everything remains structurally sound, with no breaks, modifications, or repairs. Only the jack plate has been replaced for long-term effectiveness in this busy area of the guitar. The binding has yellowed, and the hardware, especially the bridge area, shows some pitting but doesn’t affect the playability.

Original pots (with visible dates read 1376852 (the 52nd week of 1968), electronics, P 90 pickups, original double line, double ring Klusons. Large headstock, with rosewood fingerboard, C-shaped neck, 43.3 mm nut width. Weight: 9 lbs. 11 oz.

The guitar comes in its original black form fit, hard shell case with a yellow plush interior.
