1991 Gibson Les Paul 40th Anniversary Black, Good, Hard, $2,295.00
I originally sold this instrument years ago and it has just been traded back in. The structural Integrity of this Les Paul is spot on. If you are afraid of lacquer checking and finish wear RUN! With that being said if you are still with me here are the facts. The pickups and electronics have been upgraded with Original 1968 Clear Bobbin P-90's that Sound AMAZING. Pots & Caps are RS Guitar Works.
Body: The instrument has heavy checking from real time use on the body with some finish missing by the input jack. The carve on these are a deeper dish than the newer ones while being deeper than a lot of CS Gibsons depending on year.
Neck: The neck is straight and true with a slim 60's profile. The back has has the wax stripped off to make it smooth and fast, but giving it a flat finish (Cosmetic). It can be polished to a high gloss if desire with some of your elbow grease.
Truss Rod: The Truss Rod is 100% Functional.
Frets : Show little to no wear. Bar Chord player.
Fretboard: Solid Ebony 12th fret inlaid 40th Anniversary.
Pickups: Installed are 1968 Clear Bobbin P-90's that sound AMAZING! The original P-100's come with the instrument.
Electronics: RS Guitar Works Pot & Caps. The original Gibson Pots & Caps come with the instrument.
Tuners: Original Tuners that Hold Tune.
Bridge and Tail Piece: Original.
Input Jack Plate: Original.
Knobs: Original.
Case: The original case has seen better days, but I have the exact period correct Gibson Brown Case with Purple Lining being shipped to me as a replacement for the buyer. Allow 1 week.

You will be hard pressed to find a Les Paul that plays and sounds this good. You will most likely not find a 40th Anniversary with original 1968 P-90's in it at this price point or any other.
Again, the integrity of this instrument is spot on making all that is necessary for a great Les Paul to be is Excellent. Physical appearance is better than Neil Young's. The instrument is serviced, set up ready to play.
