Description

The real deal! Not a polished up pimp! An Inflation hedge hard asset that you get to play while it appreciates! This piece was made in 1960 and it is in excellent original condition. The hardware is nickel instead of gold. The finish is checking like any of the Tom Murphy Custom Shop Relics, but this is all original and natural. This is the kind of guitar that INSPIRED the custom relic craze. There are no major huge chunks, nicks, buckle rash, but only minor play-ware. The lacquer has yellowed, which is clearly visible over the white binding, but under the right lighting you can see it contrasting against the deep tuxedo black paint. The 5-ply (black/white/black/white/black) pickguard is not installed but included in the case. The only thing that has been replaced is the square input-jack plate. The original damaged one is included in the case.
The three PAFs are intact, functional, and absolutely stunning. Do I really need to explain how phenomenal these pickups sound? These are the things myths and legends are made of.
