Description

With the price of the originals so high early seventies Les Pauls represent one of the better investment speculations as they are old enough to be high quality Gibson craftsmanship yet still affordable. This late 1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom serial number 176196 with a pot date of 1377344 is no exception. This particular example is extremely clean and we are pleased to assess the condition of this fine instrument as near mint all original. No modifications or repairs, this is straight unmolested instrument with absolutely no issues. It has a perfectly straight neck with a working truss rod; there is no fret wear on the small original fretless wonder frets. The neck is a wide yet comfortable shallow C and develops into a substantial handful by the time one gets to the higher register. The original red sunburst finish is beautiful glossy like new and has not faded or aged. The original gold hardware is near perfect with only minor indications of usage wear. All electronics are factory original and working no solder joints have been touched. One might mistake this fine example as a new instrument even though it is now over 30 years old. This fine example retains its original owners manual, case keys in envelope and original black hard shell case with purple interior, also in great all original condition and of course included.
