At first glance this Deluxe looks to be in near mint condition. There are a few small changes that prevent me from saying so.

The tuners were once changed from original to Schallers. The originals are back on the guitar with a repro set of bushings. The original bushings are in the case.

The output jack plate has been changed.

Lastly, the guitar has been refretted and it appears that there was some rosewood "pull out" at the 19th fret when it was removed. The area around the fret was filled and the work is visible, but it does not affect playability. The rest of the fret job was done well.

Pickups, pots and all the rest of the hardware is original. No solder joints appear to have been changed.

The guitar sports a couple features that are unique and somewhat rare.. The pickups are surrounded with "boo-boo- rings", cream rings that trim out the pickup routes. Also, there is a small, diamond shaped black plate under the end strap button. I've only seen this a few times. The two black strap buttons do appear to be original.

The guitar plays really well and sounds fabulous. There are no neck issues and there is room in the truss rod for future adjustment.

The original hardshell case is included. It does have some musty guitar smell to it, but it is not cigarette smell, it is that unmistakable vintage guitar scent.

There are some small dings here and there, but the guitar was well cared for and it shows.
