2001 Gibson Les Paul Limited Edition Custom Flametop R9 1 of 1 “Sweet Cherry”

This beautiful and unique guitar was part of an extremely limited run of '59 Reissues in the "Sweet Cherry" finish produced in 2001. This one specifically however, was custom ordered with a quilted Maple top. This was not available in the run, making this a one-of-a-kind guitar. This R9 predates the 2007 run of Eric Clapton's "Lucy" replicas, but the specs, along with the flamed top, make this guitar the closest thing to a Lucy reissue available at the time. Included with the guitar is a photocopy of the Les Paul Legacy book in which this very guitar is featured on page 240. This guitar is all original, with minor signs of play wear and an excellent choice for anyone looking for a unique piece of guitar history that is as beautiful to look at is it feels and sounds!
