  • Description: Here we have a 1962 Gibson Les Paul/SG Junior. The serial number is 607XX. This Classic Rocker™ retains its beautiful original deep cherry finish and it’s in very fine condition. There are some scratches, marks, and a few chips. The finish has lightened up a slight bit…overall not bad for an almost 50 year old guitar. The neck is straight and the truss rod and original Kluson Deluxe tuners work as intended. The frets (original) and fingerboard are in great playing condition, with some wear in the “cowboy chord” area. There is plenty of life left in these frets. This neck is a little bit chunkier than the typical 1962 profile and the body has that great sustain to it...even unplugged. It has the stronger, less rounded heel joint which is unusual for this year. There are two small, typical cracks in the pickguard by two of the pickguard screws. The electronics in this Junior are all original and work as was intended. The single P-90 pickup screams! She reads 7.95 k ohms measured at the output jack. The one potentiometer code we can read (without pulling this pristine harness) is 2nd week of 1962. This guitar weighs in at a scant 5lbs 12oz. She will be shipped in a padded gig bag and will be professionally packed with care.
