  • Description: 100% original "Burst" from Gibson's best year... 1959! Large frets, big neck, double-white PAFs, never a Bigsby, a little flame, a little color, and tone that kills. This guitar was purchased over 20 years ago by my close friend, from the family who's father of Grandview, Missouri had owned it since 1960. They never changed a thing... and since then, neither has anyone else. No repairs, no breaks, no overspray.... The wiring has never been disturbed, the PAFs never uncovered, the frets and pots never changed. Man, it feels good to say that that about any guitar, let alone a '59! The original gears which have shrunken, have been replaced with exact replicas to preserve them. They are in the case, along with the original strap, humbucking adjustment instructions, and picture of the owner playing the guitar in the 1970s before he passed away. This is a great guitar, with beautiful balance in weight and tone, and although played, it's been impeccably cared for more than 50 years. Perfect for the player/collector looking for an all original, with provenance, no excuse, and affordable sunburst Les Paul... and of course, with the original brown case. If you want one of these... and we've sold a nice stash of them over the last year... this is the place.
