Description

Considering the price of late 1960's Les Pauls, early seventies Les Pauls represent one of the better investment speculations, as they are old enough to be high quality Gibson craftsmanship yet still very affordable. The smart money is going to buy the more popular models in all original condition as clean as one can find them. This first week of 1974 Gibson Les Paul Standard serial number 109693 with a pot date of 1377401 is no exception. This particular example is extremely clean and we are pleased to assess the condition of this fine instrument as near mint all original. No modifications or repairs, this is straight unmolested instrument with absolutely no issues. It has a perfectly straight neck with a working truss rod; there is no fret wear. The neck is a wide yet comfortable shallow C and develops into a substantial handful by the time one gets to the higher register. The original light brown sunburst finish is beautiful glossy like new and has not faded or changed much with time. All of the original chrome hardware is near perfect with little indication of age or wear. All electronics are factory and function correctly all solder joints are factory original. There are some minor and insignificant signs of age and usage, there are sporadic dings and superficial scratches, if one examines the many explicit photos they are easy to see. This fine example retains its original owners manual and original black hard shell case with purple interior, also in great all original condition and included.
