  • Description: 2000 Gibson Les Paul Standard LIMITED EDITION RED SPARKLE TOP in excellent condition with original pink-lined Gibson hardshell case. Here's a really cool Paul for those seeking an eye-grabbing stage guitar and a really cool and unique one for the collection. This was brought to us by a long-time excellent customer, so its in wonderful shape, overall. There are some light dings and scratches on the back - but nothing through the black back and neck finish, just some normal play wear. The frets are in wonderful shape, fret edge binding still intact. Headstock is clean, front and back - and the SPARKLE RED TOP is in super clean shape - couple light scratches, that's all. This top is very animated - it's the kind of cool RED SPARKLE you would expect to see on a 60s amusement park ride - very cool! Really comes alive when stage lights hit it! This Paul is all original, although one volume pot dates to 1984, which is interesting - the other pots all have 'Gibson' stamped on them. Pickups are a standard Gibson in the neck, and a '57 Classic' in the bridge. Also - the letters 'LPSS' are written in the bridge pickup cavity: 'Les Paul Standard Sparkle'. Another really unique attribute is all the parts on this Red Sparkle are GOLD PLATED, including the original Grover tuners. There is some very very light wear to the gold tuners and tailpiece, otherwise most of the gold is intact. Really nice dark rosewood fingerboard, too! Wonderful player Paul too - nice 60 carve neck, nice fat frets, and super comfy weight make this a great stage player guitar, as well.
