  • Description: Retrfofret Stock # 5263. Gibson Mastertone RB-250 with Huber Tone Ring Model 5 String Resonator Banjo (1964), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 204063, sunburst lacquer finish, maple rim and resonator, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case. Overall length is 37 1/2 in. (95.2 cm.), 11 in. (27.9 cm.) diameter head, and 3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 26 1/2 in. (673 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/16 in. (27 mm.). A '60's Mastertone somewhat re-worked with an upgraded Huber flat-head tone ring and modern Grover tuners. The headstock has been oversprayed front and back and there is a finish patch on the resonator back, which has an overall polish-out as well. Original nickle-plated one-piece flange, hoop and hooks. A good working Bluegrass banjo. Generally Excellent Condition.
