Description

1965 Gibson Melody Maker, cherry finish, nice playing and sounding guitar! It has had the short Maestro vibrato tailpiece removed, exposing 3 filled holes. These were typically removed because they either didn't stay in tune, or didn't put enough downward pressure on the bridge, or both. Currently set up as a top wrap with the original chrome stair step bridge/tailpiece. Has a nicely figured Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.

This Melody Maker is very resonant, and plays and sounds great. Has a nice medium neck profile, and is a feather weight at 6 lbs. Comes with a nice padded gig bag.

Specs/Dates:

Neck Depth: .84/1st, .99/12th
PUP: 6.94K
Weight: 6 lbs
Pots: 134-6547
Serial Number: 556530

These 60s Melody Makers are a great value - where else can you can buy a vintage 60s Gibson electric for the price of a new Epiphone?
