Memphis-made with block position marks.

The ES-335, introduced in 1958, is synonymous with semi-acoustic guitars and has been played by many great players and produced many great performances. This creates a vibrating system that is similar to that of a solid guitar, while still having an acoustic feel, and produces a tone with rich sustain. This ES-335 is a reproduction of the ES-335 from mid-1962 with smaller block position marks. The pickups are Burst Bucker 1 & 2, developed under the guise of a complete revival of the original Patent Applied Four (PAF), reproducing the sound changes of the original PAF over time, with subtle changes for each type. Type 1 has a slightly reduced number of coil turns and has a delicate, clean, crisp sound, especially suited for the front position. Type 2 uses a DC resistance of around 8.0 ohms, which is typical of the original PAFs, for a mellow tone with a firm attack. The neck is a thin 60's style mahogany neck. This guitar was a unique instrument when it was first released, but today it is a staple guitar loved by solid electric guitar players and acoustic guitarists alike. This model was built at the now-defunct Memphis factory that closed its doors in 2018, and depending on the individual, this one has a more acoustic This semi-acoustic guitar is characterized by a warm sound with a fuller, richer tone.
