Description

Here's a 1968 large guard Gibson SG Jr with Vibrola in Cherry finish. No breaks, cracks, repairs. Clean at the neck joint and heal, and black lights perfect. Really cool transitional SG here!! The serial number is 910132, which dates the guitar to 1968. The solder is covering the dates on the pots. The neck is a 3-piece, with no Made in USA on the headstock. So it seems to be a transitional '68/'69 example. And although the nut has the standard 1 9/16" width (slightly wider at 1.58"), it's has a BIG round 50's profile. Very similar to a '58 neck. So if you like 'em big...this is the one!! Action is low from top to bottom. Frets have good life. And with that neck size brings a fat sounding SG with killer sustain! The original P-90 measures 8.33k. Sounds great!! The Vibrola is smooth and holds tune. HSC..
