Description

This is a great guitar, a model that is based upon the Roy Smeck Stage Deluxe of the 1930's. It has an extra deep body which, with the 12-fret geometry, sloped shoulders and wide X-bracing, give it a powerful and rich voice. It has an Adirondack Red Spruce top combined with Mahogany back and sides and receives a nitro lacquer finish. The Stage Deluxe utilizes a dovetail neck to body joint which is hand-fitted with hide glue for maximum string energy transfer to the sound board. The short scale (24.75") neck is a chunky V-shape with a wide 1.805" nut. The lovely dark rosewood fret board has a 12" radius and MOP inlays. The tuners are Waverly nickel open backs with Ivoroid caps. To top things off, Gibson has given this model a premium TranceAudio Amulet M electronics. This relatively expensive amplification system includes an internal preamp with low-cut filter, discretely mounted sound hole-mounted volume and tone controls with a Switchcraft endpin jack and provides some of the best acoustic guitar amplification that money can buy. This same system is also used on the $5K+ Gibson Jackson Browne Model A guitar, an instrument that the Stage Deluxe is quite similar to. This guitar has a voice that is loud and luscious . While meant for fingerpicking, it's a strummer too. This 2014 model guitar is in mint/near mint condition and looks like it just came off the factory floor. Comes with it's original Gibson hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. These are typically $4K, but you can have this near new beauty for a grand less. A great vintage-style Gibson that will amaze and please you, I'm sure!
