Description

Gibson first introduced tenor guitars into its line in the late 1920s, and any guitar model was available in a tenor version by special order.

The TG-0 model was produced between 1927-33, and featured an all mahogany body and banjo style tuning pegs.

The TG-0 was reissued in 1960, through 1974, and now utilized conventional style tuners, and the same body as LG-0 model.

All Mahogany construction, ladder braced top, 19 fret Rosewood fretboard with Pearloid dot inlays, rectangular Rosewood bridge with 2 pearl dots, Tortoise plastic top purfling, screwed down thick black pickguard, single black ring soundhole rosette, 2-on-a-plate open-gear tuners with white plastic oval buttons, decal gold logo, 14-3/8" lower bout, 1-3/16" nut width, 3-1/2 to 4-3/8" body depth.

This Tenor is in nice shape, some "scuffs and marks" here and there, some general cosmetic wear shows that it has been played and loved, however the neck and frets show no wear issues.

A sweet sounding little tenor from the height of the folk era.
