  • Description: Gittler Solid Body Electric Guitar (1975), made in New York, NY, serial # 46, polished stainless steel finish, stainless steel core and frets, original gig bag case. All original, a one-owner instrument with light plating wear-the hexaphonic pickup output has been rewired to a single mono jack for standard amplification (by Gittler personally) as is common with these. Several very small pieces of electrical tape have been added to the spine as side position markers-these can be easily removed. Includes a somewhat roughly made period leather gig bag made by one of Gittler's students specifically for this instrument, and the very rare original hand-made pre-amp unit. An important part of new York guitar history, and still one of the most original electrics ever created. Excellent Condition.
