Description

This is a wonderful 1962 Gretsch 6128 Duo Jet just in from its original family in fabulous shape. Its Black finished top is stunning over its double cutaway body. Its natural finish to its mahogany back & 1 piece neck are superb w/no buckle rash nor much play time. Its potent pair of Filter’trons rock as these are favorites of so many famous players over the years. Its gold hardware is worn & green (getting this removed as we speak) in places. She’s all original from its open back tuners to its roller bridge to its knobs & switch tips. Its lucite pickgard & pickup bezels are clean too. Only its wammy bar from its Burns vibrato is missing. Its body binding is just starting to crystallize & is being addressed by our shop but a few small bits may need replacing. Malcolm Young luv’d his Jet having the same features as this one & somehow these early double cut Jets just scream w/tone like no other Gretsch guitar does. Its excellent overall & comes in its original gray hard case.
